Blogging has a way of growing on you. Jeff and Amy both blog and that is how we stay connected with the outside world and with each other. They both had posts this week so there was lots to read. Jeff and Mary are in Pittsburgh for a Christian Youth Leader's conference and while there will visit my two brothers...Jim in Mt. Lebanon and Dave in Freedom. This is a sort of honeymoon for them. Heck they took the Mt. Washington Incline up and down and did dinner there and walked through Station Square...Jeff is making a Pittsburgher out of Mary. Now if he can just get her to say you'ins, or yinz, or yous guys...she'll pass the "don ton (downtown)" speaking test at least.
Amy on the otherhand had a link to a State Park in OR where they went last weekend. Aleene and I were walking in Saugatuck Dunes and Grand Haven State Park this week...beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, but no water falls. We are beginning to be enamored with water falls.
They both always give links to other sites which is one way (a good one) of telling the story. But I have to go look up the links (except for their blog addresses) and that takes too much effort. There must be a quicker way to do that.
So Jeff is enjoying married life and Amy is dealing with sick kids in the middle of the night...calling her hubby home from a lecture on surfing. Now that is being attentive to one's spouse.
Jeff's wxym blog has the list of about 50 UMC blogs on the margins. That takes forever to see what some of those say, but by and large it is a place to discuss the future of the church with those who work in it. Dialog is good and that is what blogs do for you.
Farmer's market at 8:00 this morning including the Tamale King's special breakfast taco. I told him it was the best in the US this morning. He laughed and said thank you. It has become a ritual like going to the Strip in Pittsburgh and eating breakfast at Primanti Bros.
More later...I have to look up all these links.
