Whipped in to Holland last night about a quarter to nine. The trip back was only marred by spending a half hour in the toll booth line five miles south of Ogden Ave., the place where I got on the Tri-State. Other than that I flew.
The conference was super...albiet small. The people were enthusiastic professionals; all interested in mediation. I stayed in Hillside and the conference was in Westbrook, two miles away. These names are not familiar to me since they were east of the Tri-State. We always went west when we lived there...Hinsdale, Lisle, Downers Grove, Aurora. The one exception was LaGrange, which is where Amy was born. But I thought I knew all the Chicago Burbs by name....but these two were foreign. Ogden Ave, Wolf Road all were the way to the Bookfield Zoo...I remembered that, but not the towns where we made the turns.
We will probably be off line all weekend as we go north for Trisha's wedding. I doubt there are connections anywhere around Young State Park (Boyne City on Lake Charlivouix) except at Jeff's house...not sure if we will even be there...
Rain is predicted so that means roughing it in the camper. The weather is very unforgiving when tending the dog or hooking up the car, etc. Other than that we have lots of LP so we will be nice and warm...now if they have good TV reception for Saturday and Sunday football.
