Got two phone calls and an email this morning that C. D. Seymour had just crossed a critical threshold...he is now 3# 2oz. as of this morning. Each painstakingly slow bit of progress needs to be celebrated for this little guy. Those were calls to be remembered.
Our old(er) teaching buddy, Ardie Raak, is battling cancer. She had successful surgery, but now undergoes chemo...for a while. She is on our prayer list, too. Lily Lancaster called Aleene yesterday and is getting blood to try to keep her strength up. She goes to AA this week and begins eight days of chemo...then the bone marrow transplant.
I need to check in with Reta Heller again. She has been cancer-free for a few months now, but still is not able to see.
A glorious day here in West Michigan...upper 70s today and brilliant sunshine. Just have to remember these days when the winter man comes...all too soon.
That's about it for now....
