Wow....where has the time gone? Jeff and his family were in this weekend for the shower. Mary and her two daughters, Trisha and Karlie were shower attendees. Trisha's fiancee, Ben, came along (they are getting married the end of October). Ben, Jeff and I golfed while the shower went off without a hitch. Afterward we all went to Saugatuck to see the sights and have a glass of iced tea. We came back to Holland for pizza. Trisha and Ben left for Boyne City and the rest of us sort of joined aroung the TV for preseason football. Karlie spent most of the time instant messaging one of her friends. Oh yes, we went to Cold Stone for ice cream in the evening. This morning they left...by way of a church in GR that they like to attend when in the area.
I stayed home this morning...too many trips to the BR. Whew. I have to toughen up because I have trainings on Monday and Wednesday....I think I'll make it.
Cooper continues to gain...Jodi is ducking the hurricane. Aleene talked to Lily a few minutes ago and she is in AA undergoing tests as a prelude to her eight days of chemo...then two days off and then bone marrow transplant from her brother. Our continued prayers are with our extended families as they see the summer of 2005 as a blur.
Aleene and I did the Taste of Saugatuck for early supper. Great weather, big crowd good eating and a chance to walk in the sun and sit in the shade. I was able to eat...feeling better now.
That's about it...we take off for Virginia on Friday, if Katrina doesn't change those plans.
