Asher is coming home

Aleene leaves for Portland Sunday morning and Amy and Bren take to the skies that evening for Korea to finally meet up with their (six months yesterday) son Asher Myung Hee Connelly. They got the call yesterday and today is Amy's last day of school. She will be on FML and use her sick days to zero! What timing. Plans are for me to follow on June 9 and both of us return June 14. My last class is June 15.

We were lucky to get $350 tickets for Aleene. If you have never done it, you gotta try one of those multiple ticket searches. I finally clicked in on Mobissimo.com who found the tickets at 1800Cheapseats. Everything else was running close to $900 this close to take off.

I am still planning on driving to South Dakota for the wedding of our grand nephew, Zack Lutz, with my brother Dave and his new bride, Midge. We will be some trio. This is the second time Aleene has bailed out on a Dave and Midge date. The first time was their reception when she went to the West Valley (once you have been there you hesitate referring to the area as Phoenix, because it is not, really) with Jan & Gary on their trek to the Southwest.

Anyhow, excitement abouds here. I have have to face being alone for three weeks. Yuck. I got some good practice in January when she was in Estelli, but we made up for that by spending six intense weeks together in the motor home. This time....well, who knows. At least we can talk every day here.

Celebration...time...come on....as the song goes.

Help us welcome Truman's little brother Asher with a word of prayer....

God, grant that the parents and brother of Asher Connelly can help fulfill your plan for his life. And that those who touch him might help give him the wisdom and peace to be the person you want him to be. Give them all safe journeys and let them feel your presence in the excitement of this special time. In Jesus name....Amen.
