The first showing

Never underestimate the power of word of mouth advertising. We made it a point to tell our neighbors (Rick to the south and Janet to the north) that we had the place up for sale. I saw Rick at the mailbox on his way to work and chatted with him...he sold me the Honda so that will tell you something about his personality. I was walking Rose at noon and ran into Janet (widow, seventyish) on the path at the 8th tee. She was shocked, but quickly recovered and said she had a friend (83) who was remarrying a guy (78) and both had to sell their places and go somewhere else...and they love Rolling Meadows...our spot.

I'm telling you it wasn't 15 minutes until the phone rang and it was Trudy (83) asking if she could come and visit. Aleene was gone, so I quickly read (that's PA talk for tidied) up and turned on all the lights...a trick we learned from selling Songbird. Fifteen minutes later in walks Janet and Trudy and Janet proceeds to show the place. I just tagged along and chatted.

Now, I don't expect anything out of this because of some logistical and other constraints, but you never know. It would be ideal for the two of them...Janet could bring Trudy soup if she were ill...as she reminded her.

We are taking the MH to Gaylord this weekend and staying in the State Park at Lake Otsego not far from Jeff's. This will be our chance to meet perhaps three of Mary's children. We are looking forward to that. Rose is anxious to get going. She just asked me the other day what happened to the MH...she thought she wanted to pant some more and that would give her an excuse.

Aleene's presentation at Church is today....I am her technical support. She is ready, but apprehensive. She'll do fine.
