The day after

We had a big outing yesterday for LHRMA...the HR Management Assn. that I am president of. Dr. Joe Mancusi from VA was here for an all day presentation. He is a character. His fee to us was $4500 so you know that this was serious business. I enjoyed meeting with him...I drove him too and from the airport. The thing that I like was his sicerity. He is self-cnetered. Everything was about him and his experience; after all he is a world class speaker. But when he talked, his sincerity came through. I think I leard some things as well...which is, in an audience of HR women (for that is what most of us are at LHRMA) the idealism of treating people fairly comes through, loud and clear. He had them eating out of his hands....but he was sincere...eventhough a bit manipulative.

Aleene is in Oregon and enjoying Truman....I have a mediation today, which might be tricky since both sides will have legal councel present. That will be a first for me. I have mediated about 25 cases for the center now, so I think I can handle it ok.

Tomorrow I have my Davenport class, then Sunday, I preach...the topic? Dare to Share your Faith. I hope to make it very forceful. Until then...
