Dare to Lead

I wrote a book this past year entitled Dare to Lead. It is a little book which I poured out after forty years of working. Unfortunately, it has not hit the best seller list. It gets good comments from those who have read it, but alas I cannot get big movement on it.

I published it at iUniverse.com which is an on demand publisher so no great shakes as far as outlay is concerned, but I did invest in some publicity which I may have been overkill. I have done about 20 radio talk shows and had some tv and other publicity, but not the kind that generates big sales. I would like to get to 1000 and as of right now it is just over 500 and I have purchased 200 and given away about 100. The last hundred are stacked up here and I am selling/giving them out as I get the chance.

The long and short is that it was fun and I have enjoyed the buzz it created, but I need to figure out a way to get some traction with Dare to Lead.

I am speaking on it at a SHRM chapter in Muncie, Indiana in November which will be the first speaking engagement. I am hoping my presentation is good enough to start the circuit around here. I don't want to flop in my back yard, so this will be a chance to try it out.

Writing is a past time of mine...I just want to get some things out there for others to think about.
