Rain and earth quakes

Well, PNW is living up to its reputation. There is a tropical weather system sitting off the coast pumping rain on us constantly. We got almost thee inches today alone. There is relief in sight, but I am going to have to mow grass soon. Temps have been in the sixties.

Saturday evening the TV stations broke into the programs to say we had experienced an earth quake: 2.7 on Richter. That is hardly worth talking about, except for the fact that the announcer said something like: "This is not the Big One folks...you know the one we are overdue for..."

We did not feel the tremor, probably because it was nine miles underground. It was located just north west of Portland.
