Took a hike at Champoeg State Park today...on the shores of the Willamette (Will AM ette) River near Newberg. First the River runs north to Portland and flows out to the Columbia there and is a major body of water. It is smaller this direction, but is deep.
We will probably tie up the motor home at Champoeg when we visit in March. We have been there once before, but that was two or three years ago in the summer. With all the leaves off there is a different perspective....I was taken by the moss on the trees, both on the trunks and hanging down from the branches al a Spanish Moss in SC.
It is about fifty degrees today and partly cloudy...Mt Hood is visible again and if this is winter...I will take it.
We walked, threw stones in the river and then had sandwiches at a place in Newberg we had not visited before...which is strange after coming here for the past eight years. Anyhow, we are back home and my next evolution is a nap...yes, the first since we got here three days ago.
Tru is really fun to be around and he keeps us old folks going....
