Sunday Evening

A few facts: 1,412 miles, 8.0 mpg (towing the Jeep), $2.239 average price per gallon…ok, go figure how many gallons and how much I charged, if you must.

he first full day in Florida did not disappoint. It was hot and we needed sunglasses for most of the afternoon. The rains came in late afternoon.

Willie and Dana showed us around the area so we would not be want for things to do over the next 33 days. I think we can fill them productively. There are orange groves everywhere in the area and we stopped in the Formula I race track here and watched a car practice.

Dana has to work at her bank job most days, so we will be in and out most of the time except for the coming week. Christmas is just a week away and it looks very little like the season we are used to. There are lights everywhere, but in a sub-tropical setting.

Our puppy paid the price for our weird hours of long travel. She seems to be better this afternoon after having a chance to rest, but she is really showing her in ability to pull all nighters, if she ever was able.

As residents for a month, we are full fledged members of Tanglewood. There are all sorts of activities, and while we will not take advantage of most of them, things like the pig roast with free beer on Wednesday. There are more substantive activities, but the PR is a bonfire which we will feel by going outside.

There is a coffee shop in downtown Sebring that is WiFi…I plan to post there. We can use dial-up at the Club House and W/D have a DSL connection so we have access, but I prefer using my lap-top and wireless so I can do things faster. It would be wonderful to have WiFi here at the park, but, hey…can’t have everything.

This park is mostly long term residents. It has big spaces (and big rigs) which has a wide-open feel; nice.

The Steelers won today, so life is good.

Peace.
