Monday from Mineral Wells, WV

We love staying in West (by God) Virginia...whew. We got started at 9:00 as the caravan headed out of the parking lot of the former Blackstone Girls College. Jim & Nancy; Kris and Philip; Jim, Wilma Williams with sister Anne; Cindi in her Prius; Chick and Bruce; Aleene and me were the last to leave. Some heading home, others heading for more adventures.

There were two highlights last evening...Philip played an impromptu hour long concert on the Baldwin grand piano in the auditorium at the AC to about 15 folks...and the older women (Aleene, Nancy, Chickie) finished a puzzle that everyone (save your trusty correspondent) had an interest in. It was a toughie...so they glued it and packed it off to Cheri, the owner, for safe keeping (it was a very intricate Noah's ark with non-square sides. So I got a good night's sleep and Aleene climbed in about midnight.

This morning was topped off with an email from Dave. Kent (they left Sunday) had already emailed him pictures and a report of the picnic...whew.

We drove from Blackstone about 400 miles to northern WV. We will cross the Ohio and get back to Michigan tomorrow. We have no firm schedule for the last 500 miles. Needless to say the motel has WiFi so I am taking advantage of it to get one last entry in.

Good weekend...thanks again to Cindi and the committee.
