Home at last

We pulled into Holland at 3:30 this afternoon, 480 miles after leaving Mineral Wells (I love that name) this morning. We back tracked over the same route we used going down. It all added up to 1746 miles round trip. The cheapest gas? Otsego, MI at 2.949. It seems the holiday weekend premium went away Monday.

The next event is the wedding September 23. There is a lot to do between now and then. Mary had her list going on her blog yesterday. I think they are ready up there. We have to get some of the folks in here and up to Gaylord and then there are the rehersal dinner and the next day brunch for the out of towners. So between now and then...lots to plan and do.

It sounds like a car load of people are coming from Virginia and the Sisters are coming from Minnesota. Wow...those cousins are dedicated. Lots of family will be there to see young Jeff tie the knot as we used to say. Oh, yes, Amy and her boys will be here (that includes Brendon, but not Frodo and the cats) so I think there is a twofer going here.

Cheri is talking about a trip covering Lewis and Clark's travels next fall for her family...we should be settled in OR by that time...so bring them on, I say.

One last time...our thanks to the Williams sisters for a wonderful weekend...we loved it.

P.S. Cooper went over 4 pounds this weekend...what boy!
