Just some simple updates:
Cooper took a step or two sideways last week as he held his own, but was discovered to have a heart murmer. He has apnea which is due to his underdeveloped breathing centers. He stops breathing and the monitor awakens him or alerts a practioner to make him breath. As we learned in human physiology...years ago, the CO2 buildup in the the blood causes the breathing center to take a breath. It is called the hypoxic drive. When that center does not alert the brain to make us gasp...we forget to breath. That happens at night while we sleep. He also has an infection most likely from one of the lines that puts things in and takes things out of his tiny body. His weight is about 2 pounds two ounces.
We are going camping on Sunday afternoon at the UM Lakeview camp near Edmore. This will be a first for us at this location. Need to get the MH out and running this month. We will be back on Tuesday.
I teach a class at Zeeland Library on Thursday. I think it is about "full." Looking forward to using this facility.
We had a delightful time at Scapin at Hope Theatre (Thee-a-tree as the southern boys say it.) This was a takeoff on Moliere's comedy andwas staged in a silent theatre motif...but there was dialog...just the background piano and the actions of the characters, dress, etc. It was very funny.
