Sunday Morning

We had two official visitors at our open house yesterday. It would seem that if someone is going to buy they will do so on a referral from one of our neighbors. I think people just out shopping are not in our market. The ones interested are those who know someone here at Rolling Meadows and want to join the life style with out the huge outlay it now takes to get in here. So we wait. We are in no hurry, really, but time goes on. We are going to run open houses each weekend we are here...without newspaper ads, which generated zero interest.

We went up on 164th way up by New Holland St. in West Olive to be the welcomers at a Parade House up there...whew! We had 60 people in just over two hours. This house is sold, but is in the Parade. What a beauty...I am guessing $350K. It is back a winding paved drive in the white pines and the yard is planted with dune grass...no mowing. The kitchen is the power of this place: big, open, modern, yet country looking with dark Brazialian Oak flooring. Everything else was standard (upscale) but not spectacular. One would be spending a lot of time in the kitchen here...just hanging out.

We are headed for Pentwater this afternoon...actually, Mears State Park...for a few days. We have not been to Mears, but hear it is delightful. Rose is ready to go. She saw the motor home sitting over by the clubhouse and almost pulled me off my feet to get there. Easy girl.

This is a quiet work week for me...which means I am not doing anything for money this week. I would encourage those of you with interest to visit my new blog I am writing for Dr. Dan Dana and the Mediation Training Institute. I convinced Dan he needed a blog at his site and so he asked me to coordinate it...with the view that I can sell myself for the fall conferences I will be heading. We will see how it works out. My goal is to get some outsiders to submit ideas and articles for posting on the site...not just me babbling on about mediation. I do that enough at HR Leaders.

Have a nice couple of days...and I will be back on line Wednesday unless I find a WiFi HotSpot in downtown Pentwater.
