Jeff is working midnights this week(end) so he is blogging again. Nice to see him back on the circuit thinking about issues.
Aleene's brother, Willie, and sister-in-law sold their PA residence and bought a place in Sebring, Florida. They want to ride their Harleys year round and will be able to do that. They move July 30. Yikes...that's two Knerams now in Florida...and us contemplating Oregon. Can't get any further apart than that.
Gary Frens reports (from the edge of Arlene) that Dana Rose gained an ounce as she struggles to get back to her birth weight. She is breathing on her own which is a positive sign, of course. Micki is doing well, but is back and forth to the hospital trying to get Dana to nurse. Kinsey, their 18 month old is doing well with both sets of grandparents in the area and Aunt Dodo (Jodi) just an hour away. Jan and Gary are with Doug and Jodi this weekend. They plan to stay in Floida for a while. They will be back and forth which means between Pensecola and Panama City. Our prayers for uninhibited growth for Dana continue.
I mentioned Dana Rose the other night at my Cornerstone class (we begin with prayer and scripture and I usually ask for prayer requests.) This is a powerful way to begin an academic class each week. One young woman's mother just had a masectomy and she (the student) was very concerned/scared about it. I think talking about it publically helped her. Anyway, my class was very interested in Dana's situation...who, what, when, where. I had a good time telling them about the Micki and Jodi and their husbands' experiences...then we prayed for everyone. I really like working with this group. I forget sometimes that their interest is based on making me feel good for grading purposes...I am just synical enough to think that matters. I know some are sincere while others are polite.
Aleene is painting and I am typing. After showing her where her brother was going to move on the map, she said, with a smile, "I have to get back to work...you can play." That's my girl. I can hardly wait to get her home....so she can get back to work there!
We are having a sun break right now so I can go outside and play with Truman....until later....
