I can recommend flying at night. It is quieter...still crowded, but everything is subdued and I did sleep a little. But...I am still groggy.
The trip was great. Asher is a great baby and Tru and I are still buddies and mom and dad are going with the flow. Aleene is home...Rose did a triple circle dance last night when she greeted us after returning from the airport. I think she had given up on Aleene. She was surprised and very pleased to see her. Silly dog.
I got my papers checked and I am armed for class tonight with all the presentations to be made, which I think includes a pot luck. These folks like to eat.
All is beginning to return to normal. When my brother Dave and his wife, Midge, were here they left a gift bag on the counter by Aleene's mail. I guess I saw it and maybe they said it was for the two of us, so I just looked past it and worked around it for two weeks. Last night, Aleene came in and says, "What's this?" I didn't have a clue. So she opened it and inside was a Wendell August Forge (hammered aluminum) dish in dogwood pattern...her favorite. I was shocked. I thought that bag was a left over shower something or other...see what night flying does to your mind?
