The national news continues to mention that the Pacific Northwest is being hammered with snow and rain...well, almost all of the PNW. The snow is in eastern Washington (Spokane) and the rain/flooding is north of the Columbia River. Seattle is cut off as I-5 is closed just north of Vancouver (the city across the Columbia from Portland.) There is a 20 mile stretch that is completely shut down...under water.
We got some rain, to be sure, but the rivers are all within their banks except for one or two at the coast. We have sunshine right now...
We are going to the coast (Central Oregon) at Lincoln City and south to look for whales. We are staying Friday night at the casino where they are offering rooms for $57. We will be back Saturday.
