Asher's day

Asher came by this morning for a few hours with Grammy. The first thing that caught his attention was a bat that Grammy and Tru made on Wednesday morning when he was here. He liked the bat, but did not trust it. Grammy took it down and that seemed to help.

Today was another weird weather day here in Newberg: rain, wind, sun, clouds, clear, sun, rain, thunder (yep, one big roll). It rained hard the rest of the day. We have had 2 inches of rain since Monday.

It is nothing compared to what went on in the Mid West yesterday. I talked to Jeff and he had some significant overtime related to the storms, including a trip to Kalkaska to photograph the tornado damage that occurred there.

Aleene and I were able to walk this morning without getting wet. I took a quick jaunt back up on campus to pick up a printing job as I prepared for Tuesday night's class.

I spent yesterday afternoon at the barber shop engaging in some barbershop talk about sports. That is quite a change to the previous 20 years getting my hair cut by Deb and our talks about more domestic issues. Tomorrow we will be going to Tru's soccer game (weather permitting). Never a dull moment.
