New Roof Feb 5

Ok...here it is Monday, February 5 and we got our new roof. Notice how much the front of the house has changed. The siding is yet to come, but now we have 200 amp electrical service and a new...very new...roof. The doors and the big window in our bedroom get changed out tomorrow and then the deck of the front porch gets put on. Quite a difference from when we started.

I love the color of your roof! Dark roofs are definitely the trend these days, which I think is great for places that have really cold climates. Darker colors absorb more heat, so the roof would somewhat help regulate the temperature of your house without using too much electricity.
I really love dark roofs too, Penelope! They feel so modern and contemporary to me. I like how the color of this roof goes really well with the siding. And you’re right – it’s going to absorb more heat, so winter shouldn’t be as much of a problem on the heating bills as usual.
