The Oregon Coast

It is rugged, but it is beautiful. And nestled in these rugged spots are hidden beaches of two or three miles in length that compare with beaches anywhere I have been (Med, Caribbean, Atlantic Coast, Gulf Coast)

This is looking north about halfway between Netarts and Pacific City in Central Oregon; our favorite.

Aleene and Rose are on the beach at Pac City. Note the Hay Stack rock just a few hundred yards off the coast. I have another picture of it below...as it deserves its own comments.
Rose is still hanging in there...actually, doing quite well. Aleene, as you can see is hale and hearty even after all her painting.

There are other Hay Stacks on the Oregon Coast, but Pacific City's is our favorite. It is clean this time of year after the winter's washing. When the birds arrive during the warm weather, it gets white streaks on it....or so I have surmized.
After lunch we took a walk to a familiar spot...and poochie was all happy as you can see. Posted by Picasa

Very nice photos. Cannon Beach is my favorite beach, bar none. Very secluded with a small-town feel to it. I was emailing back and forth with one of the owners of the Cannon Beach Bakery yesterday. I wish I could have emailed myself! haha

Keep your toes in the sand! =]
