Hiking with the boys

I should have had my camera...but I did not. Brendon, Asher, Truman and Cousin Benjamin and I hiked here yesterday. The little boys had a ball running up the side of the hill (mountain) while Asher rode on Brendon's back and I handled Frodo their dog. By the time we finished the boys were famished and Pappy was pooped. We ate Pogy's subs (my favorite) at home and everyone collapsed. The ladies were at the mall.

There are many places like this to explore. This on is about 10 miles from here and well done. A nice Saturday morning hike.

Amy reported on her week so it was good to be here for support. She is all set back at her old school which I think in the long run she likes because of the staff and fact that Tru can go to the kindergarten there.

We began to scratch the surface on wineries near here...there are 22 in our county. There was a festival at the field house of a college about 15 miles from here that Aleene and I explored. Whew...where do you start? We ate supper down town McMinnville and did coffee at the coffee house across the street from the restaurant and came home...

Tomorrow we are planning to go to Pacific City to find a place to camp this summer. The Wx-guy is saying that Monday will be sunny and 60 degrees at the coast...how sweet it is.
