Odds and ends

Aleene is keeping the kids this week while Amy visits her MAT students. Bren and I are going to Portland Wed and Thu to the World Trade Center (Portland style). He is taking my class with me...good to have him both as a car companion and as a participant. Good to have him as a son-in-law, too.
Asher is quite a character. Grammy is playing dominos every day with Tru. Rose walks over with her in the morning and then stays the day. She loves the excitement, but like us, when she gets home she goes to sleep.
We are back on the new floor completely now...with what furniture we have, but rest assured, all these items are sporting new stick on pads on their feet.
The drive to dawn tawn Portland from here is 45 minutes in the morning rush hour traffic...26 miles. Coming home takes a bit longer. I have figured out how to do this...with Bren's help in painless manner.
We got a lot of rain today...but on the trip home (in daylight, yet) the sun came out. High winds are coming over the west mountains....and the higher elevations are getting snow. Visibilities in the the Cascades tonight are ZERO. Interesting place...we get rain and 45 degrees in the valley. It is almost time to mow grass again.
