Friday in Newberg

We finally mothballed the MH today...fifty five days after we began living in it full time. We went to the park and loaded the final items, including dishes, pots and pans, and even the TV. This is all going to Meridian St. with us on Monday...which is another pesky little problem. We cleaned the MH and pulled it next door to the RV Park to the storage area. There we drained the fresh water and the water heater, which are the last steps in puting it in a "cold iron" status. The last step is turning off the battery and positioning the solar battery charger...lots of luck on that one. Actually, it was a beautiful day in the valley with 100% sunshine.

We left the Jeep packed full rather than unloading and reloading on Monday.

The French Bear is a breakfast and lunch restaurant two blocks from the house. We walked over and treated ourself to a wonderful lunch; the first of many. When people visit us...and several are planning too...at least one breakfast or lunch will be consumed at French Bear (they serve arabica coffee, wine, and have the homemade touch.)

The kids made it to California for their weekend there celebrating Grandma Hazel's 90th. So we have the run of the house which means TWO doggies plus the two cats. We see very little of the boy cats. They stay clear of the dog so slip in and out unnoticed. Last night I crept into Tru's room and turned on the light...yep, there they both were, just a sleeping and a sleeping.

The dogs are doing super together. Rose showed Frodo how to play ball the other day, which I may have mentioned. The too bad part is that Frodo is on a special diet due to food allergies that cause him to scratch. You can imagine what that means...trying to keep two dogs' food separated. Fortunately, they both love to sleep.
