Not much new. We are shedding furniture with vigor. The Salvation Army comes Friday to take my big desk and one of our recliners. Next week, we take the second bed and file and TV to Jeff and Mary. Our goal is that when we finally make the treck with furniture that we will be down to what our little house will hold. It is both exciting and sad.
Rose is doing somewhat better. She is permanently banned to the laundry room with the baby gate installed. She does well with that...and no accidents so far. We are treating her with ibuprophen for back pain as the vet saw some compression of her last vertibrae...just a shot, but it is better than glucosamine pills. He will buy back the remainder of those from us. We, of course, feel sorry for her, so she gets many walks and usually three trips around the golf course a day off the leash. So it is doing both R and us some good.
Jeff and Mary are fianally in one house...squeezed in, if nothing else. They are leading a hectic life right now, but I am sure they will iron that out...if the snow doesn't come too soon.
Truman called the other day to talk about Halloween. He is riding a two wheeler unassisted and said to his dad recently, "Hey, Dad, let's go work on my skills." That is persuasive language, right?
My Detroit gig was cancelled for low numbers...which is better than traveling clear over there and losing money, I guess. I do enjoy the interaction...but I have some gigs left, so I will get my chance.
November will be gone before we know it...then Christmas will be upon us. Really?
