Catching up

Fall is in high gear. Don't look now, but we went from Labor Day to the Ides in a wink. Here are some updates:

If you have high speed, or the time to load up, Brendon did a clip of Tru riding his scooter.
Tell me that boy will not be a surfer and skateboarder some day...

Jane and Carolyn decided not to make the trip to Gaylord...too much in too short a time. I agree with them...whew. Jane reread Pappy the other day and had quite a trip down (short term) memory lane. Welcome to the readership, niece.

Cooper Seymour went from three pounds on August 24th to four pounds this week. He is getting ready for his original birthday and though he better bulk up, so to speak. He has come quite a way from his original 1# 15 oz. So when early October comes...he and his mom can cuddle up and enjoy because the hard part is behind them.

We are still a bit in the dark on Lily...she had the bone marrow transplant this week. Sister Bonita talked to her and she came through it ok, but the outcome is unknown for now.

Talked to a realtor the other day. We are going to have someone show the condo when we start tripping...say like, from November on. So, I am weakening. We are going to show it ourself today and probably next week, but after that....whew, again.

The Farmer's Market is going strong with fall stuff...got to get there this morning, maybe.

Aleene and I went to South Haven yesterday looking for paper products for the parties she is planning around the wedding. We walked the pier and ate at Clementine's. Good thing we ate early. By 12:30 the place had a line outside. We were in Saugatuck last night for coffee. Tom and Sally Cassell strolling the sidewalks.

I bid farewell to my friends at LHRMA last week. I will not be able to attend any of the meetings this fall which wraps up a three year stint on the board, a 20 stint of spotty meeting attendance and a 33 year affiliation going back to the first time I attended a meeting as a guest the first summer I was here with Campbell Soup. The 20 year thing could have been yesterday, but the 1972 thing seems like ancient history. Anyway, I am through with my local professional association...the passing of an era.

Do you know how Lily Lancaster is doing now? It has been several months since you've posted anything about her.
