Saturday evening

We visited Wes' workshop a.k.a. Kara and Brent's home in Allendale today. They are doing a complete makeover of the three bedroom rancher they bought recently. It reminded me of our first house in NJ...three bedrooms, one bath; the only difference is they have a basement. The rooms are looking good as far as walls are concerned. They are about ready for floor covering and then installing the new appliances in the kitchen. A lot of work...and love, have gone into this new home. I think they will be ready for it when move day comes. It is looking really good.

Jan and Gary report Cooper is gaining...now up to 2.5 pounds. Ounces count in this struggle
and he is getting stronger. He was telling me about the prayer network that has been established in Arizona now that he is back there...that is always comforting to know.

Gary said he has to take a test soon to ref football this fall. After all these years of heading up rules update seminars and the like here in Michigan, Gary now has to prove himself to the folks in AZ. You would think there is resiprocity for reffing like there is for lawyering and doctoring. A call from the state of AZ to the MIAA referee office would settle that...how many years did he do Division III playoff games? Whew.

Midge came through her surgery in great shape. This is her second hip so she knows what to expect...no pain after surgery...and she got it. Dave reports she should be out of the hospital in a day or two.

Showed the house twice today...lookers, not buyers, I am afraid. At least we have traffic.

Did not talk to either Jeff or Amy today, so I will probably blog tomorrow after they check in. There is always something there to share....and, of course, a report on Peaches and Herb.
