Saturday Morning

More pictures at http://bren.pintglass.org/ these are of the arrival home at PDX and others.

Midge and Dave are still sleeping, I think...at least their room is quiet. We are on the sixth floor of the Sheraton in SF. It is a lovely spot. The hotel was full last night. At least the parking lot was full when we got back from the other house of fun at about 11:00 p. What a blast that was.

All the Lutz troops arrived in their turn...settled in at the HIE in Brandon just about 10 east of us. This is where the reception will be held, so they are in the Queen's spot (Shirley is the Queen, as in eldest female.) We laughed and laughed and laughed from 3:00 p to 7:00 when eight of us went to the restaurant for supper, where we laughed some more. Then back to the Queen's quarters (adjoining to Greg and Martha's room which is where all the food and drink was stashed.) The inside family had the rehersal and dinner, so we were only somewhat subdued from seven until nine...then we cranked up again for another round of fun. Jane, Terry and Carolyn came in while we were eating...what fun we had.

The three of us (M, D, and T) sort of drug ourselves away and motored back to the Sheraton to rest. It was another hour before I could unwind. I called Aleene in Newberg for any last minute news and all was well there. Asher is aclamating to his new mom...Aleene said you could just see the attachment growing between the two. What a privilege to watch that happen. Amy reported that Asher was focusing on Aleene, perhaps the older female...searching for the foster mom...who knows? Nobody knows for sure.

It is a beautiful day today and a good one for a wedding. Zack and Linda make a cute couple. Both hard working kids who are really attached. You can just tell it. Today should be fun if I can get by on six hours sleep....I already feel the need of a nap.

Cindi told me about this "blog" thing so I could see pictures of Asher! How fun! Congrats, Pappy! True blessing! I saw your name and linked to your "blog", very cool (I am not quite that techy yet!) Sounds like the Lutz clan is doing what they do best, talking, laughing and loving! Say Hi to all! Congrats to the bride and groom! Tell Chick and Bruce to "phone home" sometime during this adventure!:)
Love and Blessings to all! Cheri
