Electronic Tax filing

Well, I went for broke. I filed my taxes electronically this year. Yea, I know, the Government now knows my bank account, can talk to my computer (I presume there is cookie on it from Uncle), but what the heck. Sammy has treated me well over the years and I want to save him a buck, plus it is sooooo easy.

I pushed the button on Monday, February 14 and within 24 hours I got word back that both the state and federal boys had received my return and that I would have my refund by Thursday (state) and Friday (federal) deposited to my bank. No hand signature...I used a throw away pin number for both Aleene and me and doing it this way...no W-2s leave the folder. They automatically match your records from last year and check the input of W-2 and 1099-Rs which are mostly submitted electronically and are there for the matching....Of course this is as subject to audit as any other filing...but, again, I have nothing to hide...Turbo Tax does the work.

Let me tell you...Friday I checked my bank account and Jennifer had paid a visit and left a donation on Thursday, then this morning I looked and sure enough W had been there on Friday.
Just in time for us to spend it all on the trip west (well southwest then northwest).

We will see, but for now I like it.
