Still in Sebring

Aleene asked what I was going to write about since we have not traveled in the past week. We did stay home enjoying the beautiful weather and an occasional trip to the pool. I finished my latest Parker Palmer book (see at http://hrleaders.blogspot.com) That is significant because his A Hidden Wholeness is a major reference for my current mediation writing projects.

Don and Bobbie come over this afternoon and we will cruise around Sebring and then go to dinner someplace. Tomorrow morning is up for grabs, but you know where Willie and I will be at 1:00 when the Steelers risk getting their butts kicked in Indy.

We are on a countdown to departure with only five days to go. We have made reservations in the Pan Handle for two nights as we try to link up with Micki and Jodi next weekend. Then, it is on toward Phoenix where we will be for a week. It looks like we will celebrate our 41st on the road.

My hope is that the rain stops in Northern California and Oregon in the next few days. I do not want to have to cope with wet weather on the road…oh well.

Amy sent us a Jeff Foxworthy questionnaire…you know you are a Pacific North westerner if. Some include: You know 10 ways to order coffee; You know how to accurately pronounce Oregon, Willamette, Puyallup, Issaquah; You can use the term “sunbreaks” accurately in a sentence; and that You know the state flower (mildew.)

There are more, but you get the drift.

A front came through last night…dry here, but produced some bad weather north of us. So it is cool today and tomorrow, but the sun still shines.
