My prayer list keeps getting longer

I have to be careful due to individual confidentiality, but there is so much grief in the area lately...just stuff that people are dealing with. To wit: One of our close friends had shoulder surgery for the second time in six weeks this week. The "anchors" they used to attach the tendons to his bone came out...ouch. He is home, but in utter discomfort. Who needs that?

To wit: Another young family is dealing with the young mom's cancer again. She is so brave and so resiliant, but it is heart rending to think about the future for them. She is a former FMS student...so we check in with her and keep her in our prayers.

To wit: A former H&C collegue had a little boy this week... and were utterly shocked to learn he was a Down Syndrome child. Mom and baby are fine otherwise and home from the hospital, but they have lots on their minds about the future.

To wit: I had an hour's conversation with a young woman who worked for/with me at HCH. Her husband of six months was killed this fall in an auto accident. She is getting better, but admittedly has a ways to go. We talked and cried and talked some more. She has received many kindnesses from the community. It has been a very public thing with court stuff going on and she is beginning to get closure on the event.

Those are the biggies...there are other smaller things...people unhappy with work/jobs who email for advice or contact information. I pray for them too. I have been there several times and there is nothing like a new job to get one re-engaged.

Spoke at the Kazoo HR Assn. lunch yesterday...about 100. Sold 23 books! In the audience were two members of an organization I have done some work for, one member of a Cornerstone class I had in Portage last summer and the sister of a former FMS student....

Next week I go to Cadillac to speak to their HR group...who booked Cadillac on January 19th?

That's it you glog mutts...keep writing.
